After 5 years at the helm of BluesEd, Peggy Pierson and Karen Porter are stepping down as directors.
Peggy and Karen have shared the privilege of acting as Co-Directors for the BluesEd program for the past 5 years. They became involved through their own kid’s participation in the program, starting out in roles of parent volunteering, and then taking on the Directors duties when it was passed to them by Doug Backer, founder of the program.
It’s safe to say BluesEd would not be the premier organization of its kind if not for Peggy and Karen. Their vision, dedication, hard work, and involvement allowed BluesEd to evolve into the respected organization it is today.
